UAE University's College of Humanities and Social Sciences Honors Top Researchers

AL AIN– The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) at the United Arab Emirates University honored 36 of its faculty members for their high-impact research publications in a ceremony held on Friday, 14/November/2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
His Excellency Professor Mohammed bin Huwaidin, Dean of CHSS, presented achievement certificates to the faculty members in recognition of their publications in top-tier Scopus Q1 journals during 2024.
The event, which celebrated research excellence, also featured a keynote address by Mr. Wael Mansour from Elsevier - Middle East. His presentation, titled “Mapping Impact: Leveraging Scopus, SciVal & Collaboration for Research Excellence,” highlighted tools for advancing academic research.
Professor Mohammed bin Huwaidin and Dr. Ali Al Ghafli, Vice Dean of CHSS, presided over the ceremony. The closing speech emphasized the critical importance of ongoing research to the academic community.
The Assistant Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Professor Khawla Al Kaabi, and her team were formally recognized for organizing the event. The Dean commended Professor Al Kaabi for her continuous support, dedication, and the successful execution of the meaningful event.
Representatives from Al Ain Municipality, Urbi Company, Abu Dhabi Environment Agency, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, and K2 Edge also joined the event. Discussions were held on potential future research topics and collaboration.
