Al Ain Clock Roundabout Redevelopment Completed, Awaiting Official Unveiling

Al Ain , Abu Dhabi The Al Ain City Municipality has completed the construction and installation of the new iconic structure at the Clock Roundabout, with residents now awaiting the final official announcement of its unveiling and start of operations.
According to the Al Ain Municipality, the project, which began implementation on February 2, 2025, involved the redevelopment of the roundabout, a key city landmark, to enhance infrastructure and key facilities. The development includes a new iconic structure to replace the old clock, featuring 80-meter-long illuminated slanted arches that span the intersection and a clock suspended from all four sides at the top.

The project also involved modifications to the existing roads to accommodate the new structural arches. Furthermore, the Municipality carried out the modification and development of existing pedestrian walkways and the creation of new bike lanes.
The designs incorporated LED lighting systems to highlight the structures with customized colors and national themes, focusing on aesthetic appeal and alignment with sustainability standards. The project was expected to be completed by the end of the third quarter of this year.
